Romance lies in the heart of the city
As a self confessed romantic, there is no other job that could be more full of romance than creating a beautiful wedding for a gorgeous couple in love.
Given the opportunity to create a styled shoot , and getting to choose everything from the venue to the bride’s dress is always too exciting to pass up. It also allows the creative juices to flow and below is what we created. thanks to Wedding Playbook for publishing it and to all the other suppliers involved that helped to put together a classic and timeless event.
THE VENUE
Steeped in old world charm and tucked amongst the high rises of Perth’s CBD, is the historic Bishops House and Gardens. The house is now home to Lamont’s restaurant and wedding venue which has been an iconic CBD dining location for more than two decades. Built in 1859 for the first Anglican Bishop of Perth, Bishops House is a two storey, heritage listed house and is also one of the few privately owned and managed heritage listed gardens in the city. With lush lawns and a garden oasis, Bishops House evokes the feeling of a time long past when only the birdsong and clatter of horse drawn carts could be heard.
